Outstanding young startup entrepreneurs honoured

Eighty-one young entrepreneurs with outstanding startup results in 2023 were honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on July 30 evening.

Hanoi (VNA) – Eighty-one young entrepreneurs with outstanding startupresults in 2023 were honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on July 30 evening.

Dang Hong Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam YouthFederation and President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, saidthat the startups run by those entrepreneurs produced a combined revenue ofnearly 1.7 trillion VND (71.7 million USD), earned total profits of 104 billionVND, and paid 39 billion VND to the budget last year.

First held in 2015, this award is one of pioneeringactivities of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association in implementing theGovernment-launched national startup programme.

Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s EconomicCommission Tran Tuan Anh spoke highly of contributions by young entrepreneursto the nation’s development.

He expressed his hope that the awardees will exert moreefforts to turn Vietnam into a strong and prosperous country.

On the same day, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’Association held a workshop themed “Learn to lead”, during which participantsshared their experience in production and business as well as their startupjourney./.

Suntory PepsiCo inaugurates 300-million-USD plant in southern Tay Ninh province

Vietnam's wood exporters race to stay on growth path

Ho Chi Minh City: Industrial, export processing zones attract over 2.6 bln USD in H1

Speaking at the at the city's regular socio-economic press briefing on July 9, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) Tran Viet Ha said that foreign direct investment (FDI) accounted for nearly 1.6 billion USD of the total, including 65 newly licensed projects worth more than 867 million USD and 83 existing projects that added over 707 million USD in registered capital.
