The development and integration of the Vietnamese community, including businessmen, has made an important contribution to consolidating and strengthening the position of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic, as well as to promoting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Prague (VNA) - The development and integration of the Vietnamesecommunity, including businessmen, has made an important contribution toconsolidating and strengthening the position of Vietnamese people in the CzechRepublic, as well as to promoting the traditionalfriendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

The statement was made by VietnameseAmbassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam at a meeting with representativesof the Vietnamese community and enterprises in Moravian-Silesian Region as partof his working visit to the country's easternmost area on March 22-23.

Nam appreciated the efforts of theVietnamese Association in Northern Moravia and Ostrava in unitingthe community, and organising diverse activities, thereby helping preserve andspread the Vietnamese culture. The ambassador affirmed that the embassy is alwaysready to support Vietnameseassociations in the host country.

At the meeting, the diplomat answered questionsrelated to issues related to Vietnamese law on nationality and civil status.

Within the framework of the working visit,the Vietnamese embassy’s delegation visited a factory of Elmich Group inOstrava. This is a leading household appliance manufacturing and trading groupin Central and Eastern Europe whose Chairman is Do Thanh Trung - one of themembers of the Vietnamese community in Moravian-Silesian Region.

Trung expressed his desire to receive Vietnamese labourers to work at Elmich'sfactories and his hope that labour cooperation between the two countries willmake progress in the near future./.

Vietnam - France friendship captured through photographs

Australian veteran’s son returns diary of Vietnamese martyr

Entries in the diary show that Vo Van Cong was born in 1944 in the former Phuoc Tho commune, Nhon Trach district, Bien Hoa province, now Dong Nai province. He joined the revolutionary movement in April 1961 and was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam in May 1962.

Book week underscores role of knowledge in policymaking

Hanoi accelerates shift to green buses, targets 100% by 2030

Ho Chi Minh City greenlights central square, administrative centre in Thu Thiem

The new central city square and administrative centre will create a modern, centralised political-administrative complex for Ho Chi Minh City, designed to house around 8,000 officials, civil servants, and employees.
