Events like the annual Homeland Spring, OVs' visits to Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands or the Vietnam summer camp brought together Vietnamese from across the globe, showcasing their love and hopes for the country's progress.

Over the years, the OV community has contributed significant resources to Vietnam’s development.

By 2024, they had invested in 421 FDI projects with a total capital of 1.72 billion USD.

The remittances to Vietnam last year were estimated at 16 billion USD, serving as a crucial resource for the country's economic growth.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, who is also Chairwoman of the ministry's State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, said as 2025 marks a crucial phase in Vietnam's development, mobilising resources from the OV community remains a strategic priority, playing a key role in driving socio-economic growth./.
