OVs in Japan raise funds for AO victims

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh has called upon overseas Vietnamese in Japan to raise funds to support Agent Orange/dioxin victims as the country is marking 50 years of the AO catastrophe (August 10).
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh has called upon overseas Vietnamese in Japan to raise funds to support Agent Orange/dioxin victims as the country is marking 50 years of the AO catastrophe (August 10).

The diplomat made the call at a meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Japan on August 6, where he briefed on the home country’s situation, including the first session of the 13 th National Assembly, the socio-economic development in the first half of this year, the East Sea situation and relations between Vietnam and its neighbouring countries.

Binh joined the staff of the Vietnamese embassy and representatives agencies, overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students to raise funds for AO/dioxin victims.
At the function, on behalf of the High Command of Navy, the ambassador presented an insignia to the Association of Vietnamese People in Japan for its contributions to protecting Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands./.
