Public service delivery in Vietnam has seen improvement in 2016 with a jump in the proportion of citizens with health insurance from 62 percent in 2015 to 73 percent last year.
Findings from the 2017 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) Report, which was released in Hanoi on April 4, showed a significant turnaround in citizens’ perceptions and experiences in corruption in the public sector.
PAPI is a policy monitoring tool that assesses citizens’ experience and satisfaction with government performance in governance, public administration and public service delivery.
