The delegations of Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Germany's Social Democratic Party (SDP) held the second theoretical dialogue in Berlin on September 11 as part of the two parties’ cooperation plan.
Prominent among participants were Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member. Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and head of its Commission for Popularisation and Education, and SDP member Edelgard Bulmann MP, who was former federal minister of education and research.
Opening the event, Huynh and Bulmann said the dialogue takes the theme of “human resource training and renewable energy” which are very important to the goal of sustainable development pursued by both Vietnam and Germany .
They affirmed the dialogue is an effective cooperation mechanism between the two parties, contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.
Scholars and experts of the two countries discussed theoretical issues and experience of each party and each country in implementing policies on education, vocational training, human resource training, labour and jobs and the development of clean and renewable energies.
During his stay in Germany, Huynh made a tour of the SDP headquarters, met the SDP General Secretary, Andrea Nahles, and visited Friedrich Ebert Institute and several establishments on renewable energy development.
