Party delegation visits Cuba

A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Ha Thi Khiet, Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission, is on a working visit to Cuba.

At a working session on April 8 with Jorge Marti, Head of the Department of International Relations of the Cuban Communist Party (CCP), Khiet spoke highly of achievements that the Cuban people have made despite the US ’s embargo over the past 50 years.

She expressed her belief that the Cuban people will overcome all difficulties and challenges and reap greater achievements in their socialism-building process.

She also affirmed the CPV’s determination to further boost the solidarity and friendship between the two Parties and the two nations.

For his part, Jorge Marti said he admired the Vietnamese people’s great achievements over the past years, considering them valuable experiences that Cuba can learn from to build a new model of socialist economy in the upcoming period.

He affirmed that Cuba is determined to consolidate and further develop the friendship, solidarity and cooperation with Vietnam .

On the same day, the CPV delegation worked with Orlando Sardinas Gonzalez, Vice Chairman of the CCP’s Commission for Organisation, and Caridad Diego, Head of the CCP’s Office of Religious Affairs. The two sides exchanged experiences in mass mobilisation, the leadership role of the Party in mass organisations and religious affairs./.
