The south-central coastal province of Ninh Thuan must pay specialattention to maintaining political security and social order and safetyin close association with safeguarding the national sovereignty over thesea and islands, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has said.
Speaking at a meeting with Ninh Thuan key officials onJuly 5 during his working tour of the province, the Party leaderfurther said the provincial Party committee needs to continue renovatingits way of thinking, focusing on the strengthening of the internalsolidarity, making the full use of support from the central Government,and attaching importance to the human factor in its leadership.
“Ninh Thuan needs to draw lessons in its leadership, correctly assessthe reality to see its potential, strength, difficulties and limitationsso as to work out development strategies and plans for the time tocome,” he said, adding that the tasks for the provincial Party committeefor the coming tenure remain heavy.
The provincewas also asked to complete all the goals set by the 12 th congress ofits Party committee, and to review and select major problems to besettled so as to create visible changes, especially key projects ontransport infrastructure, irrigation, wind power, and marine economy.
The leader took note of the province’s proposals onthe issuance of exclusive mechanisms and policies in the implementationof the nuclear power plant project, and on the supply of additionalcapital to accelerate the completion of the coastal road system in theprovince.-VNA
