Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong arrived at Vnocovo-2 Airport in Moscow on November 23, beginning his official visit to Russia at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.
At the airport, he was welcomed by Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Morgulov.
The Party leader and his entourage then paid floral tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Square in Moscow .
He also visited the Hanoi-Moscow Culture and Trade Centre (INCENTRA), which is a symbol of the fine friendship and cooperation between the two capital cities and the two countries.
Launched in November last year, the 240-million-USD centre is expected to act as a bridge for trade and cultural exchanges between the two sides.
Talking to the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and Vietnamese people there, the Party leader said that his visit aims to boost the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership in a deeper and broader manner, thus contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.-VNA
