The Vietnamese Party, State and people attach importance to developing the traditional solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made this statement while receiving a delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Planning (MoP) led by Senior Minister and MoP Minister Chhay Than, who is also member of the standing committee of the Cambodian People’s Party Central Committee, in Hanoi on Feb. 23.
He highly valued the practical and effective cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment and the MoP and congratulated Cambodia on its recent socio-economic development achievements.
For his part, Minister Chhay Than expressed his congratulations on the success of the 11 th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and his admiration at the great achievements made by the Vietnamese people during the renewal process.
He also expressed his deep gratitude for the valuable and essential assistance of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for Cambodia in the struggle for national liberation in the past as well as in the current national construction and development./.
