Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Truong Tan Sang on Nov.11 received Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yasuaki Tanizaki, on the occasion of his new term of office in Vietnam .
Sang affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the development of friendly and cooperative ties with Japan . He expressed his pleasure at the developing bilateral relations, from politics, economics and culture to security and defence and called for developing the two countries’ strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia deeply, effectively and sustainably.
Sang also expressed thanks for the positive and effective assistance of the Japanese government to Vietnam , especially Official Development Assistance (ODA) provisions, making important contributions to socio-economic development, infrastructure construction, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in Vietnam .
