Hanoi (VNA) - Individuals and organisations nationwide across the country continue sending cash and kind to support locals in the central region in overcoming the consequences of recent floods.

As of October 20, the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee received nearly 2 billion VND (90,000 USD) after three days of launching the support campaign.

The proceedings were donated by the staff of the 14 th NA Standing Committee, (50 million VND), the Ministry of Transport (500 million VND), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (200 million VND), the Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Company (500 million VND), the VFF-Bac Giang chapter (400 million VND), the Vietnam National Chemicals Group (200 million VND), among others.

Domestic donors could send financial donations to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee at bank account 371301058784 (VND) provided by the State Treasury, swift code QHNS: 1058784; or at 0011001932418 provided by the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank).

Those abroad could send to Vietcombank accounts 0011371931538 with swift code “BFTVVNVX”.

Phi lanthropists can also donate cash to the VFF Office at room No. 109, block B, No. 46 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.

Relief goods could be sent to chapters of the VFF and the Vietnam Red Cross Society at all levels to be transferred to affected areas.

The campaign runs until the end of November 30, 2016.

The VRS Central Committee also coordinated with the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 to launch a SMS campaign which is underway from mid-night of October 18 to mid-night of December 16, through which people nationwide could text “UH” and send to 1404, each worth 18,000 VND (0,81 USD). All proceeds will be sent to the victims.
