Petrolimex cuts down oil prices

The Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) has decided to slash its retail price of diesel by 300 VND per litre as of 7pm of March 3.
The Vietnam National PetroleumCorporation (Petrolimex) has decided to slash its retail price ofdiesel by 300 VND per litre as of 7pm of March 3.

Retail price of kerosene was also reduced by 500 VND per litre andwholesale prices of 3S and 3.5S mazut fell by 300 VND per litre.

The price of petrol remains unchanged after the latest raise on Feb. 21.

At a press briefing on March 3, representatives of the Finance Ministryand Industry and Trade Ministry as well as major dealers said that therecent oil and petrol price adjustments were reasonable andtransparent. They said the adjustment has taken into account possibleeffects on the market, preventing sudden changes in economicdevelopment and social consumption while still ensuring the interest ofthe State, enterprises and consumers./.

Vietnam's tourism sector faces labour shortage

A 2026 survey by Hoteljob.vn found that nearly 90% of tourism businesses planned to recruit. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, 89.7% of businesses were hiring, while 71.8% said recruitment was difficult or very difficult. The biggest shortages were among frontline workers, particularly in housekeeping, engineering, food service, front-office operations, and kitchens.
