PM Dung arrives in US for nuclear security summit

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived at Andrews Airforce base in Washington in the evening of April 11 local time to attend the Nuclear Security Summit.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived at Andrews Airforce base in Washington in the evening of April 11 local time to attend the Nuclear Security Summit.

His attendance at the summit, made at the invitation of US President Barack Obama, is aimed at highlighting Vietnam ’s policy of supporting the right of every country to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes as well as nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament efforts.

Vietnam ’s presence at the summit is expected to contribute to promoting Vietnam-US relations and those between ASEAN and the US as well.

Before his arrival in Washington , PM Dung visited the Boeing airplane factory in Seattle./.
