Auckland, (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Plan and FoodResearch Centre (PFR) in Auckland on March 10 as part of his official visit toNew Zealand.

The centre has been cooperating with farmers,scientists, food companies, exporters, the Ministry of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment and the Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam in projectson raising crop output, quality and pest resistance, and promoting post-harvestand processing technologies to bring more profit to farmers and firms.  
  
Noteworthyare projects in supporting for-export passion fruit and avocado industries,dragon fruit farming and safe vegetable farming based on GAP process.

PM Chinhsaid the advantages of Vietnam and New Zealand aresupplementary, which provide a firm foundation for the two sides to promotecooperation, including in farming and food processing.

He expressed hope that building on theachievements, the two sides will accelerate joint work and make breakthroughsin agricultural cooperation./.

Ministry responds to escalating global trade tensions

Ministry proposes developing green e-commerce law

The MoIT's draft proposal to develop the Law on E-commerce will be included in the National Assembly's law and ordinance development programme in 2025 and will be presented to the NA for consideration and comments in October 2025, before being approved at a NA meeting in May 2026.
