Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received the new Palestinian and Sudanese ambassadors to Vietnam in Hanoi on March 19.
At his meeting with the Palestinian diplomat, PM Dung said Vietnam welcomes the Palestinian President to pay an official visit to Vietnam to further diplomatic ties and friendship between the two countries, adding Vietnam pursues the consistent policy of supporting the Palestinian people’s just struggle for national independence.
Ambassador Saadi M.H Salama Altumaizi hailed Vietnam ’s growing role and position in the international community, attributing that to victories of the past two resistances for national liberation and achievements in the current national construction and development.
He pledged to coordinate closely with Vietnamese relevant agencies and ministries to further boost the two countries’ cooperation.
At the reception for Sudanese Ambassador Adil Ibrahim Mustafa Ahmed, PM Dung affirmed that the Vietnamese Government always wants to increase cooperation with Sudan .
He said the two countries should be more active in their cooperation in agriculture as it is their strength.
On the occasion, PM Dung asked the Ambassador to lend a helping hand in facilitating the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s investment and cooperation with its Sudanese partners in oil and gas production.
Asserting the Sudanese Government’s determination to beef up cooperation with Vietnam by opening its embassy in Vietnam , the Sudanese diplomat said he hoped that Vietnam will soon set up its embassy in Sudan in order to create conditions for the two countries to bolster their ties and cooperation./.
