Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hasemphasised the need to create solidarity and a high consensus among theentire Party, army and the people to accomplish the country’ssocio-economic tasks set for 2010.
The PM made theremark while co-chairing a working session between the government andthe Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee(VFFCC) in Hanoi on March 9 to review their bilateral coordination in2009 and discuss directions for this year.
PM Dung said the government and the VFFCC should join hands to betterpromote and encourage people from all walks of life to participate inemulation movements.
He said it is necessary to work out new mechanisms and policies tomobilise and support the role of religious dignitaries and outstandingindividuals as well as overseas Vietnamese, along with speeding upadministrative reforms, practising thrift and strengthening the fightagainst corruption, waste and negative phenomena.
The PM also called for greater efforts to improve the efficiency ofdealing with civil complaints and other legal actions lodged bycitizens.
Under the joint work plan, the government and the VFFCC will expand andconsolidate the great national unity, including coordination incarrying out social programmes 132, 134 and 135, and accelerating theimplementation of emulation movements./.
