Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received new Israeli ambassador to Vietnam Amonon Efrat in Hanoi on March 8, making a pledge to create favourable conditions for the diplomat to fulfil his responsibilities.
The PM also requested the ambassador to work with Vietnamese ministries and branches to boost bilateral cooperation on economy, trade, investment, development assistance and the training of agricultural scientists.
Ambassador Amonon Efrat affirmed that during his tenure in Vietnam, he will focus on boosting cooperative ties between the two countries with priority to be given to the acceleration of the signing of agreements on investment protection and promotion, double tax avoidance and maritime affairs.
To prepare for the Israeli President’s visit to Vietnam in June, PM Dung asked the ambassador to cooperate with the Foreign Ministry in order to make the visit successful, thus lifting the two countries’ relations to a new height./.
