Takinginto account their comments, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong notedthat last year’s outstanding achievements, particularly in pandemic preventionand control, economic recovery and development, and international integration,have consolidated and increased people's trust in the Party, State and socialistregime.

Healso pointed to the fact that the national socio-economic development still faces shortcomingsand huge challenges.
TheParty chief affirmed that the relatively comprehensive results have been obtainedthanks to concerted efforts of the entire Party, people, army, and politicalsystem, especially valuable and responsible contributions of the former leaders.
