Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised the need to establish a clear order of priorities, focusing on institutionalising and implementing recent Politburo resolutions, particularly on the development of the State-owned economic sector, foreign-invested sector, high-speed rail, nuclear energy, and the settlement of long-delayed projects, including power projects.
The resolute and coordinated implementation of four Politburo resolutions will generate fresh momentum and strong impetus for breakthroughs, Party General Secretary To Lam said, referring to those covering international integration, national energy security, education and training, and public health.
Party General Secretary To Lam stressed that the country’s new growth drivers stem from the organic linkages among the resolutions, explaining that international integration opens the door to the world, while stable and green energy is a prerequisite for production, schools, and hospitals. He added that high-quality education and training will supply engineers, doctors, and public service managers. A modern health system with strong preventive foundations will keep people healthy so they can study, work, and innovate.
The documents comprise Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation, Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW on ensuring national energy security through 2030, with a vision to 2045, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development, and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of public health.
This is the era of those who are willing to take bold actions, make decisions, and serve the nation. Vietnam does not choose the easy path but the right path. And it is this path, with the Party as the guide and the people as the creators, that will lead the country to its glorious destination: A strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam, capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with world powers, as President Ho Chi Minh had always wished.
According to the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, on making breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, this is considered a decisive factor in the development of nations. It is seen as a prerequisite and the best opportunity for Vietnam to become prosperous and powerful in the new era of the nation’s rise.
Over 1.5 million delegates attended the national conference on May 18, talking about the huge shift in thinking to push ahead and create momentum for two key resolutions. They discussed how to disseminate and implement the two Politburo's Resolutions No. 66 & No. 68 on renewing the work of law-making and law enforcement to meet the demands of national development in the new era and on the development of the private economy, respectively.
