At theevent, held on the sidelines of the International Tourism Fair ITB-2015,where a number of Vietnamese travel companies are attending, theAmbassador noted that Germany will be a potential market for Vietnamesetourism as it possesses the largest economy in Europe.
She said Vietnam has the advantage to bring its images, people andcuisine closer to German friends through the 120,000 Vietnamesecommunity in Germany.
The Ambassador, however,pointed out that the Vietnamese tourism sector’s marketing andadvertising campaigns remained weak in Germany, pledging to lend a handto support such activities.
General Director of the VietnamNational Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Van Tuan said thatGermany is an untapped tourism market for Vietnam though there was asignificant rise in the number of German tourists to Vietnam in 2014.
Numeroustourist products favoured by foreign vacationers have been launched inVietnam including maritime, cultural, and eco - tours, Tuan added,expressing his hope that the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany will activelyget involved in popularising the country’s must-see destinations.
