President meets voters in Ho Chi Minh City

President Truong Tan Sang met with voters in District 4, HCM City on Dec. 2.
President Truong Tan Sang met with voters in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City on December 2 to inform them of the outcomes of the freshly-ended 8th session of the 13th National Assembly.

Voters spoke highly of the session, which completed a heavy load of work with a serious and responsible spirit, meeting the aspiration of voters nationwide.

However, they raised concerns over shortcomings in the withdrawal of assets related to corruption, social housing policy for low-income earners, educational renovation and investment in science.

In reply, President Truong Tan Sang highly valued voters’ ideas, especially those relating to the effective implementation of policies and legal documents.

Regarding education, the leader said that the Party and State have planned a comprehensive renovation of the education and the NA issued a resolution on this issue.

He emphasised the need to the Party and State’s determination to drive back corruption. To make the fight effective, voters should join competent agencies in supervising corruption cases, he said.

About the salary policy, President Truong Tan Sang mentioned an increase of productivity as a way to increase salaries for employees.

He affirmed that the Party and State always encourages and create all possible conditions for talented people to contribute themselves to the national construction and defence.

The same day, Le Hong Anh, Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Defence Deputy Minister Do Ba Ty met with voters in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho and northern Dien Bien province, respectively.-VNA
