President visits Sri Lanka after Indian business forum

Earlier on the day, Sang attended the Vietnam-India Business Forumheld by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and theConfederation of Indian Industry in Mumbai.

Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony, Sang said that manycooperation agreements had been signed, an important foundation toenhance the traditional friendship and cooperation between the twocountries.

While India has made considerablestrides in science and technology related to information, genetics,agriculture and nuclear energy, Vietnam itself was stepping updevelopment via its socio-economic strategy for the 2011-20 period.

The meeting among enterprises from both countries helped boost theimplementation of agreements on trade and economic bilateral progress.

Sang called on the chambers of commerce and industryfrom each country as well as ministries and relevant agencies toincrease information exchanges and help enterprises take part in tradefairs and market research.

He expressed his beliefthat the business forum would facilitate Vietnamese and Indian businesscommunities to take advantage of the two sides’ strengths and potential.

In the meeting, Farhad Forbes, Chairman of theConfederation of Indian Industry, said that it had encouraged andcreated favourable conditions for many Indian businesses to visitVietnam in order to explore investment opportunities.

With Vietnam and India enjoying strategic position on the worldtrade map, enterprises from both sides should support mutualdevelopment, Forbes said./.

Vietnam, Laos sign cooperation agreement to enhance financial management capacity for 2026–2030

The agreement was one of four cooperation documents exchanged during the Lao PM’s ongoing official visit to Vietnam, reflecting the determination of the two Parties, States, as well as ministries, and sectors of the two countries to further consolidate, strengthen and deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos.

Vietnam, Thailand further bolster 50-year ties

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on August 6, 1976, Vietnam-Thailand ties have expanded steadily in both breadth and depth. The two countries enjoy strong political trust and close relations between their leaders and people. This has provided a solid foundation for deeper cooperation across all channels, including state, government, parliamentary, business, local-level and people-to-people exchanges.

Vietnam, Thailand political parties seek closer ties
