Programme offers air ticket discounts to domestic tourists

The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association has launched a domestic tourism promotion programme signed with two carriers, Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air.
The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association has launched a domestic tourismpromotion programme signed with two carriers, Vietnam Airlines andVietJet Air.

Under the programme, the nationalflag carrier Vietnam Airlines will offer a ticket discount of 32-70percent, which is applied for 12 travel agencies joining the promotionprogramme, including Saigontourist, Vietravel, VietMedia Travel andFiditour.

Meanwhile, low-cost VietJet Air willcut down 49-90 percent of its ticket prices on all domestic flights. Thediscount is offered to 20 participating travel agencies, includingVietravel, Ben Thanh Tourist, Hoa Binh Tourist and Hoan My Tourist.

Vice President of the Association Nguyen Thi Khanh said that theprogramme is to encourage more Vietnamese people to join domestic tours.

Participating travel agencies will reduce their tours’ prices by 20-30 percent, while ensuring the quality of services.

Last year, more than 34,000 visitors used promotion tickets soldwithin the framework of the programme. The figure was 23,317 in thefirst half of this year.-VNA
