Launched on a national scale on June 20, En Xanh aims to be a long-term andlarge-scale programme, which will help promote business initiatives for thecommunity.
An En Xanh festival is set for August 19-21 with scientific workshops and a galanight to honour outstanding initiatives and individuals in 2017.
Addressing the event, Ha Thi Thu Thanh, Chairwoman of the board of directorsof the CSIP called for the involvementof individuals and organisations in finding, honouring and expanding businessinitiatives.
Many businesses and individuals launch community business initiatives toaddress social and environmental issues, but they are usually spontaneous andfragmented.
The programme is expected to foster cooperation, laying a foundation for allinitiatives, big or small, to spread and bring about more benefits to thecommunity.
In the framework of the event, a talk was arranged, discussingchallenges in business activities for the community’s benefit.
As a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, the CSIP promotes thedevelopment of social businesses and social initiatives in Vietnam andcountries in the region.
Established in 2008, the centre has provided support for 147 entrepreneurs andsocial businesses, which apply sustainable business solutions to address socialand environmental challenges. -VNA
