An agreement to launch a project of social integration for people with disabilities through developing and enhancing links of disabled people’s associations was signed in Hanoi on April 23.
The project was launched by the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD), the Irish Aid Programme in Vietnam and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Vietnam.
Under the agreement, the project will be carried out in Hanoi and the three central provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Nam and Binh Dinh in three years.
It aims to create an equal access to socio-economic services for the disabled, helping them participate actively in social activities.
In addition, the project encourages disabled people associations to give opinions to and proposals relating to policies implementing the Government’s national project 1019 on supporting and ensuring interests of people with disabilities.-VNA
