Prominent VN businesses receive awards

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on April 15 to present the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) Award and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) 2010 Award for scientific and technological creations.
A ceremony was held in Hanoi on April 15 to present the Vietnam Fundfor Supporting Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) Award and the WorldIntellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) 2010 Award for scientific andtechnological creations.

The VIFOTEC award wasgiven to 41 projects involved in mechanics automation, materialtechnology, information technology, electronics, telecoms,bio-technology, environmental-friendly technology, proficient use ofnatural resources, energy saving, and use of new energy.

The International Intellectual Property Organisation presented itsawards to the best enterprise in applying intellectual property systemin its production, the best project, the best female scientist, and thebest young scientist in the intellectual property field.

Doctor Vu Thi Thuan from Traphaco Joint Stock Company earned the WIPO’s best female author prize.

TheHa Long Viglacera Joint Stock Company, majoring in manufacturing claybricks and flooring tiles, became the only enterprise to win the WIPOaward. The company trademark has been registered in Vietnam and manycountries worldwide such as Canada , Russia , Italy , the Republicof Korea and the US. /.

Vietnam targets 50 million international visitors by 2030

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has outlined three scenarios for 2027–2030. Under the high-growth scenario, international arrivals would rise 15–18 percent annually to reach 45–50 million, while domestic tourism would reach around 160 million trips. Vietnam's tourism sector faces labour shortage

A 2026 survey by Hoteljob.vn found that nearly 90% of tourism businesses planned to recruit. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, 89.7% of businesses were hiring, while 71.8% said recruitment was difficult or very difficult. The biggest shortages were among frontline workers, particularly in housekeeping, engineering, food service, front-office operations, and kitchens.
