Quang Ninh (VNA) – Thetraditional festival in An Sinh Temple in the north eastern province of QuangNinh will be cancelled in a bid to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual festival is held from the 20thto the 23rd day of the eight lunar month, which falls on October 6-9 this year,to honour kings and leading figures of the Tran Dynasty (1225 - 1400) .

Built in the 14th century, An Sinh Temple isan important work in the special national historical relic site related to theTran Dynasty in Dong Trieu town. The site housed the tombs of eight Tran Kings.

It went under several restorations in thepast, with the most recent in 2000./.
