The northern province of Quang Ninh has received about 6 million visitors over the first 10 months of 2012, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Nearly 2 million foreigners visited the province during the reviewed period, up 7 per cent against the previous year.
During the January-October period, the provincial tourism sector earned 3.66 trillion VND (174.5 million USD) from tourism services, surging 18 percent over the same period in 2011.
The province will increase inspections of tourism activities and deal strictly with violations, strengthen tourism promotion, and develop new products and services to attract more visitors in the remaining months of this year, the department noted./.VNA
