Reference exchange rate continues rising trend

The daily reference exchange rate on June 21 continued the rising trend from the beginning of the week, going up 5 VND from June 20 to 22,622 VND per USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange rate on June 21 continued the rising trend from the beginning of the week, going up 5 VND from June 20 to 22,622 VND per USD.

With the current trading band of  +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,300 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,946 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks also went up compared to June 20.

Vietcombank raised both rates by 20 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,830 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,890 VND/USD.

The rates at BIDV were also up 15 VND, standing at 22,830 VND/USD (buying) and 22,900 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank added 20 VND to both rates, buying the greenback at 22,810 VND/USD and selling at 22,910 VND/USD.

The daily reference exchange rate has been rising since the start of the week (June 18) except for June 19 when it was kept unchanged.-VNA
