Reference exchange rate continues to go up 10 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate up on September 18, setting the rate at 22,700 VND/USD, up 10 VND from the rate on the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate up on September 18, setting the rate at 22,700 VND/USD, up 10 VND from the rate on the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,380 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,020 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw sharp increases.

Vietcombank raised both rates by 45 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,255 VND/US and the selling rate at 23,335 VND/USD.

The rates at BIDV also went up by 45 VND to 23,255 VND/USD (buying) and 23,335 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank raised the buying rate by 30 VND to 23,240 VND/USD and the selling rate by 50 VND to 23,340 VND/USD from September 17.-VNA
