Reference exchange rate down by 5 VND

The State Bank continued to adjust the daily reference exchange rate down on September 14, setting it at 22,690 VND/USD, down 5 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank continued to adjust the daily reference exchange rate down on September 14, setting it at 22,690 VND/USD, down 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,370 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,010 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks showed reduction from September 13.

Vietcombank cut both rates by 20 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,225 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,305 VND/USD.

At BIDV, the buying rate is being listed at 23,220 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,300 VND/USD, both down 20 VND from the previous day.

Techcombank is buying the greenback at 23,205 VND/USD and selling at 23,310 VND/USD, both down 15 VND from September 13.

This week, the daily reference exchange rate was on the rising trend for the first two days but then turned around to decrease for the remaining of the week.

It opened the week at 22,694 VND/USD and ended at 22,690 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks also mostly followed the downward trend.-VNA
