Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on July 20 at 22,660 VND/USD, down 2 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,342 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,984 VND/USD.
At commercial banks, the prices of US dollar went up in the early opening hours.
Vietcombank raise both rates by 15 VND from July 19, at 23,025 VND/USD (buying) and 23,095 VND/USD (selling).
BIDV also raised both rates by 15 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,030 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,100 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, the rates at Vietinbank increased by 19 VND to 23,033 VND/USD (buying) and 23,103 VND/USD (selling).
The reference exchange rate opened the week up. It was then adjusted down on July 17 before going up again for the next two days. On the last day of the week (July 20), it went down.-VNA
