Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,256 VND per USD on June 1, down 5 VND from the last working day of previous week (May 29).
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,953 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,558 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed stable.
At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,160 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,370 VND/USD, unchanged from May 29.
At BIDV, both rates were also kept unchanged at 23,190 VND/USD (buying), and 23,370 VND/USD (selling).
Techcombank adjusted both rates up 2 VND to 23,175 VND/USD (buying), and 23,375 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from May 25 to 29, the daily reference exchange rate fluctuated variably and ended the week up 1 VND from Monday.
The rates at commercial banks also fluctuated, mostly ending the week lower than at the week’s beginning./.
