Reference exchange rate down after five consecutive day rises
The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted its reference VND/USD exchange rate down 1 VND to 22,432 VND/USD on May 23 after five consecutive days of rise.

With the current /- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 23,104 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,760 VND per USD.
The rates listed at commercial banks at the opening hour were nearly unchanged.
Vietcombank listed its buying rate at 22,690 VND/USD and its selling rate at 22,760 VND/USD, unchanged from the day ago.
BIDV also maintained its buying and selling rates at 22,690 VND and 22,760 VND.
Techcombank raised its buying rate by 30 VND to 22,680 VND per USD and made no change to its selling rate of 22,770 VND/USD.-VNA
