Reference exchange rate down at week’s beginning

The State Bank set the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,429 VND/USD on December 4 – the first day of the week-, down 9 VND from the rate at the end of last week.

Hanoi, (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,429 VND/USD onDecember 4 – the first day of the week -, down 9 VND from the rate at the end oflast week.

With the current trading band of+ /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,095 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,756 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at majorcommercial banks saw slight changes.

Vietcombank revised both its ratesdown by 10 VND compared to December 1, buying the greenback at 22,675 VND andselling at 22,745 VND per USD.

However, both BIDV andVietinbank maintained their rates at the same level as on December 1, listingthe buying rate at 22,680 VND and the selling rate at 22,750 VND per USD.-VNA

Vietnam, UK boost economic, trade ties
