Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,126 VND/USD on September 23, down 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week (September 20).
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,332 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,920 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw slight increases.
At 8:33 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,420 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,760 VND/USD, both up 20 VND from September 20 morning.
BIDV raised its both rates 40 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,440 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,780 VND/USD./.
