Reference exchange rate down for second consecutive day

The State Bank adjusted the daily reference exchange rate down for the second consecutive day on December 21, to 22,430 VND/USD, a reduction of 7 VND from the rate on December 20.

Hanoi, (VNA) – The State Bank adjusted the daily reference exchange rate down for the second consecutive day on December 21, to 22,430 VND/USD, a reduction of 7 VND from the rate on December 20.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,093 VND and the floor rate 21,757 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most major commercial banks remained unchanged from the previous day.

Vietcombank, BIDV and Vietinbank are listing the buying rate for the greenback at 22,680 VND and selling rate at 22,750 VND, the same as on December 20.

On December 20, the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate was set at 22,437 VND per USD, down 8 VND from the previous day. -VNA
