Reference exchange rate goes down 5 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,401 VND/USD on January 22, down 5 VND from the rate on the last day of last week (January 19).

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,401 VND/USD on January 22, down 5 VND from the rate on the last day of last week (January 19).

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,070 VND/USD, and the floor rate 21,734 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks stayed stable.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV kept their rates unchanged from January 19, listing the buying rate at 22,675 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,745 VND/USD.

Vietinbank cut both rates by 3 VND, buying the greenback at 22,674 VND/USD and selling at 22,744 VND/USD.-VNA
