Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,133 VND/USD on October 4, up 18 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,340 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,926 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also increased remarkably.
At 8:20am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,590 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,930 VND/USD, both up 100 VND from October 3.
Similarly, BIDV also raised both rates by 100 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,600 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,940 VND/USD./.
