Reference exchange rate remains unchanged

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,655 VND/USD on December 13, unchanged from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,655VND/USD on December 13, unchanged from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-5%, the ceiling rateapplicable to commercial banks during the day is 24,837 VND/USD and the floorrate 22,472 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks decreased.

At 8:30 am, BIDV listed the buying rate at 23,595 VND/USD andthe selling rate at 23,875 VND/USD, both down 40 VND from the end of December 12.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged at 23,510VND/USD (buying) and 23,820 VND/USD (selling)./.
