The State Bank kept the daily reference exchange rate for August 1 unchanged from previous day, at 22,669 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank kept the daily reference exchangerate for August 1 unchanged from previous day, at 22,669 VND/USD.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 23,348 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,990VND/USD.

The opening hour rates atcommercial banks continued to rise.

The rates listed at Vietcombank went up 25 VND to 23,245 VND/USD(buying) and 23,325 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank added 10 VND to both rates, buying the greenback at 23,230VND per USD and selling at 23,330 VND per USD.

Meanwhile, BIDV maintained the same rates as on July 31, listing thebuying rate at 23,240 VND/USD and selling rate at 23,320 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate has been on a rising trend since thebeginning of the week.-VNA
