With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,888 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,497 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at commercial banks were up compared to the same hour on December 22.
At 8:20am, BIDV listed the buying rate at 22,830 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,110 VND/USD, both up 70 VND from December 22.
Vietcombank also raised both rates by 50 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,780 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,090 VND/USD./.
