Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bankof Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,184 VNDper USD on July 2, up 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbank during the day is 23,879 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,488 VND/USD.

On the contrary, the rates listed at majorcommercial banks all dropped.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,880VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,110 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from therates on July 1.

BIDV also cut 10 VND from both rates, listing thebuying rate at 22,910 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,110 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Vietinbank adjusted both rates down 5VND, listing at 22,885 VND/USD (buying) and 23,105 VND/USD.

In theweek from June 28 to July 2, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusteddown on the first day of the week but then the trend reversed until the end ofthe week. The rate ended the week up 15 VND./.

Customs intensify crackdown on counterfeit goods, trade fraud

Quang Ninh gives nod to first offshore wind power plant
