Reference exchange rate up 3 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,092 VND/USD on June 20, up 3 VND from the last working day of the previous week (June 17).

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set thedaily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,092 VND/USD on June 20,up 3 VND from the last working day of the previous week (June 17).

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceilingrate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,784 VND/USD andthe floor rate 22,399 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at some commercial banks dropped.

At 8:30 am, BIDV listed the buying rate at 23,100 VND/USD andthe selling rate at 23,380 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from June 17.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from June17, listing the buying rate at 23,070 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,380VND/USD./.

Car sales increase sharply in June

Passenger cars accounted for the largest number of sales with 22,934 vehicles, up 14.6% over the previous month. Meanwhile, sales of commercial vehicles reached 8,782, down 2%, while specialised vehicle sales reached 261, up 23% over the previous month.

HCM City approves 17 housing projects for foreign ownership

2025 coffee exports hit target, set for record 7.5 billion USD

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), Vietnam exported an estimated 953,900 tonnes of coffee worth 5.45 billion USD in the first six months of 2025, increasing by 5.3% in volume and 67.5% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
