Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at23,133 VND per USD on August 29, up 4 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,826 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,429 VND/USD.

 The opening hour rates at commercial banks slightlyincreased.

At 8:15 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,145 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,265 VND/USD, both rising 5 VND from August 28.

BIDV also offeredboth rates at 23,145 VND/USD (buying) and 23,265 VND/USD (selling), up 5 VND ascompared to the previous day.

Techcombank alsoraised both rates by 4 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,133 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,273 VND/USD.-VNA
