Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,680 VND/USD on May 19, up 8 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rateapplicable for commercial bank during the day is 24,864 VND/USD and the floorrate 22,496 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks increased.

At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,260VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,630 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from the end ofMay 18.

Meanwhile, BIDV listed the buying rate at 23,310 VND/USD and the sellingrate at 23,610 VND/USD, both also up 10 VND from the end of May 18./.

Vietnam steps up trade, investment promotion at China-ASEAN Expo

According to the CAEXPO Secretariat, Vietnam will once again lease an entire exhibition area of about 3,000sq.m, featuring 170 booths, making it one of the ASEAN countries with the largest exhibition spaces at this year’s event. Six groups of products, services proposed at Vietnam International Financial Centre

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said the products and services include investment funds and asset management, asset-backed digital assets, international carbon credits, commodity trading and derivatives infrastructure linked to trade and supply-chain financing, financial technology, and bonds issued at the centre. As these groups are at different stages of readiness, they will be rolled out in phases rather than simultaneously.
