Reference exchange rate up by 10 VND on May 7

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,040 VND/USD on the morning of May 7, up by 10 VND from the day earlier.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,040 VND/USD on the morning of May 7, up by 10 VND from the day earlier.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied by commercial banks for the day is 23,731 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,349 VND/USD.

Commercial banks adjusted their rates up slightly.

At 8:15, Vietcombank posted the buying rate at 23,235 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,335 VND/USD, up by 35 VND from the same time the day earlier.

BIDV offered the rates at 23,240-23,340 VND/USD, up by 30 VND from the same time on May 6.

Techcombank posted 23,215 VND/USD (buying) and 23,335 VND/USD (selling), up by 25 VND from the day ago.-VNA
