Vietnam, France promote cooperation in innovation

The French Research Institute on East Asia (IFRAE) and the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO) co-hosted a workshop titled “What system of innovation in Vietnam?” in Paris on October 16, bringing together academics, policymakers, and business representatives to discuss pathways for Vietnam’s innovation-driven growth.

First Vietnam–France agricultural economic forum held in Paris

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang emphasised that Vietnam does not aim to remain merely “the world’s rice bowl,” but is striving toward a smart, modern, and sustainable agricultural sector. The country also seeks recognition not just as a market, but as a sustainable and strategic production base for France in Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Vietnamese, French port cities set up cooperative, friendly ties

Under the agreement signed in the northwestern French city of Le Havre, Vietnam’s central coastal city of Da Nang and Le Havre are committed to strengthening collaboration in economy, logistics, urban and port planning, innovation, higher education, and tourism, with a focus on promoting and leveraging their cultural, artistic, and historical heritage.

Vietnam adds cultural colours to Korean Expo in Paris

The Vietnamese performances combined traditional and contemporary elements, leaving a strong impression on audiences. Highlights included the evocative “Dat nuoc loi ru,” (Lullaby of nation), the soulful sound of the monochord “Dan bau” (Vietnam's traditional one-string musical instrument), and a moving rendition of the Republic of Korea's well-known piece “Onara” in a Vietnamese–Korean fusion style.

Vietnam, France foster innovation cooperation

France, with its strengths in basic research, high technology, and a vibrant startup ecosystem, can support Vietnam in developing human resources, technology transfer, and building innovation centres. Conversely, Vietnam – with its dynamic market, young workforce, and ability to quickly adopt new technologies – offers a fertile ground for French innovative ideas to be put into practice.

The Vietnam - France and France – Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Groups should further promote their role as a bridge to foster cooperation between the two legislatures in particular, and Vietnam-France relations in general, suggested Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang.

Nhan dan newspaper celebrates solidarity, progress at French festival

At Nhan Dan’s pavilion, visitors encountered a vivid chronicle of Vietnam’s milestones under the Communist Party of Vietnam and the late President Ho Chi Minh’s leadership, from the struggle for independence and reunification to modern development and global integration. Photo book connects cultures of Vietnam, France

The work is the product of French writer-photographer Dominique de Miscault and Vietnamese cultural scholar Dr. Hoang Thi Hong Ha. More than a conventional album, it weaves three decades of images into an emotional journey through Vietnam’s Northern, Central, and Southern regions.

EVFTA spurs economic growth between Vietnam and France
