The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on May 9 held a ceremony to rebury 16 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in Cambodia during wartime.
The remains were gathered by the provincial Military Command’s K51 team during six months of the 2013 dry season in Cambodia’s Mundunkiri province.
They were handed over to the Dak Lak authorities on May 1.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Hoan Nie Kdam said the search for and repatriation of remains of martyrs show a gratitude to those who devoted their lives to noble international missions.-VNA
